My 23rd Birthday

It was like any ordinary day, just like my previous birthdays the celebrant is supposed to go to Mass and pray to thank the Lord for turning a year older and for all the blessings. Nothing much happened we just ate outside me and my family, we went to the mall, and some friends greeted me coming from all parts of the Philippines. (Hehe) 

I would like to thank all those who greeted me, my family of course for their undying love and support. My friends in davao (yrish, angel, jill) and ricky, my high skul classmates (grace, karen and mario), to people who I don’t really know who greeted me in friendster [tanx], and my special someone (hubi). Nakalimot gyud mag greet yung iba. Hmmmp!! Cge lang 

OMG!! I’m a year older na pala, mabuti na lang meron akong anti-aging beauty.. hehe walang kokontra..

2nd Mindanao Bloggers Summit (MBS2)

The 2^nd Mindanao Bloggers Summit was held in General Santos City at the Family Country Hotel, Oct 25, 2008. It was a rainy day but that did not stop the advocates of blogging from coming to what would set a trend that will change the image of Mindanao thru technological advancement of disseminating information and media. Many who attended come from Davao and Gensan, some from Marbel, Butuan, and other parts of Mindanao. Many also were still just students or a newbie at blogging. 

The theme was “Mindawon, Paminawon Intawon: Blogging the Mindanao Consciousness” which adheres to promote Mindanao’s many wonderful and rich culture aside from what we normally here about Mindanao. Many people’s perspective when they here about Mindanao is that it is a dangerous place which is not true at all. The news in the television and radio are sometimes exaggerated or bloated. But there are also bombings and killings from other parts of the Philippines aside from Mindanao. My mother has a client who is visiting Mindanao, many are telling him that it is dangerous there and his mother called him on his cellphone telling him not to go out because it is not safe. I also met some people, knowing that I’m from Gensan/Davao ask me if the bombings are true. 

    Is this the kind of image we want people to perceive us? We need to amend this; they don’t know a mindanawon’s own perspective on how he/she sees Mindanao. We have the power to change one’s opinion. We need to SPEAK OUT!!, speak your mind and share your ideas, let us blog for a cause and support Mindanao. Our agenda is the agenda of Mindanao. Let us make a Difference!!

MBS2 E-Pass

    I finally receive my E-pass for the 2^nd Mindanao Bloggers Summit. I really am going to the MBS2, there are only 100 slots allotted to those who can come to the event, and I’m one of them. Woah!!! I’m so excited for the upcoming event.

Love is like a STAPLER,

its easy to attach,

but hard to detach,

and the worst is

when your able to detach it

it still leaves the paper… DAMAGED!!

What is wih the month of October?

        It has dawned in my mind that the month of October have so many things to celebrate. It is the Month of the Holy Rosary where my family always prays the rosary before sleeping. I think we believe or most of us, in the saying that “the family that prays together stays together”. We started praying at the start of the month until the end of October which has already started. It has been our custom ever since I could remember maybe for the reasons that my family is “relihiyoso” and for the fact that my father is an ex-missionary.

        For the Muslim cummunity they celebrate the Ramadan. I can’t really expound what Ramadan is, for I am not a Muslim and I might give you the wrong information for i am not formally aware of their traditions.

        We also celebrate October fest where many people go to bars and concerts, where there are bands playing, food and the endless supply of beer. I for one am not really into this celebration especially the  drinking alcohol part, I would prefer better to have juice, hot chocolate or coffee.

        This is also the month in which I was born into this unruly world. (hehehe) Guys, greet me on my birthday ok? And leave a comment in my Friendster for those who knows me. I try to take the opportunity to rest and mingle in what I could say as a social life. (hehe)

Don’t Quit

DON’T QUIT   

 a plain statement but expound a thousand definitions.

It could mean: don’t give up, don’t let go , don’t surrender,
                                                                keep fighting, be strong, or have faith.

Whether in life’s trials or in love’s struggles, just DONT QUIT.
                            Who knows? We just might get what our heart is longing for..
                                                            Because only those who fight is worthy of winning..

McDo Sundae - it reminds me of you

        It occured to me that while i was staring at the sundae i have, that there is something missing or different it was because i kinda miss chantille. She is always my companion(my trusty sidekick) in trips to the mall and others, we always buy sundae at Mcdonalds whenever we feel like we have burdens in our life and in our hearts(emote). for some reason while eating sundae we tend to unload our problems, we sit and talk for a while and seek reasons and suitable explanations for our endeavours(wow! english..hehe) This is one way for us to alleviate our worries in life.

        Our propensity to go to the mall has always been a highlight in our friendship. That is why i kinda miss chantille while eating a sundae. I will always dedicate my sundae for you chantz, to remind myself of our familiarity and the pull toward the goal of seeking out adventure and cute guys(hehe)..

I will be in GenSan for the MBS2

    I have never been into a blog summit before, but I am very excited upon the next Mindanao Bloggers Summit to be held in my own hometown which is GenSan. I have been thrilled when I have come across it over a blog of someone while I was browsing other blogs in a blog directory.

    I have been blogging for more than 2 years I guess and I already have 3-5 blogs that I’m trying to update and maintain. I also want to meet other co-bloggers from my own country. And here is an opportunity where I can join up and be part of this very interactive community of people who share almost the same passion in blogging. This is one of those once in a lifetime opportunity and I don’t want to miss it; I hope I can be a part of it.
