teaching yourself to love

July 10, 2009

you can’t teach yourself to love someone..

Love is not a school subject that needs to be studied.
That’s why it’s called falling in love.
It’s like standing on the edge of a very dangerous but breathtaking cliff,
you can’t decide if your gonna leave where it’s safe,
or you’ll just stand there, unmindful of the danger,
because you dont want to lose sight of the view.

CS Volleyball Varsity Player

June 25, 2009

I was just waiting for someone when Camz posted the list of players for the Fiesta in the bulletin board. It took me a while to see that my name was on the list. I was not that shocked but I was somewhat happy about it. I never played for the fiesta before I was always on the sideline but here is a chance for me to be part of it. Even though I know that our opponents are strong I know that our team can compete fairly among the best.

I was wondering whether my crush was also part of the list, he was my inspiration in the first place. I forgot to ask Camz what was his name. Anyway it seems I will be somewhat busy this fiesta.

CS Volleyball Try Outs

June 20, 2009

It is seemingly turning into another boring weekend, so I decided to watch the try outs for the CS players. As I went there the Basketball has already started, only a few were watching at the sides of the court. I went to stand next to the people I know and chatted with the lower years.

I never intended to join the try outs for the VB, for one thing I was not properly attired for the event. But something push me to actually join as they started to warm up. I know how to play VB and I am also good at it I mean dependable but I was not the varsity type.

One thing that pushed me to join was that most of the people who are trying out were my classmates. I thought that if I join I might get to know them better and vice versa. But that was not my first motive; the real reason was that I notice someone unfamiliar who is trying out that I think was still a freshmen. He really caught my attention; he was somewhat cute in a way. He has this cute smile and innocent look. It took me only a few seconds to decide and join, so I can get to know him. If we were on the same team what are the odds that we might become friends. I’m such a flirt.(hindi lang obvious) Hehe

We actually played 6 vs. 6, it took us 3 sets to finish the game. I was sweaty but what the heck I enjoyed the game, it was fun. Adrenaline rush!! And my crush was actually good and much better than me. It made me more attracted to him. I hope we get to be part of the CS VB team.

The 10 ‘Can’-mandments

May 11, 2009

1. It will never fly        It’s worth giving a try

2. It won’t work        We’ll make it work

3. It’s never been done        We have the opportunity to do it first

4. What if we fail?        What if we fail to try?

5. We don’t have any money    Money flows to great ideas

6. We don’t have the time    We can reevalute our priorities

7. We don’t have the expertise    All leaders are learners

8. It’s never been tried before    There’s always room for improvement

9. There are so many problems    Thinl of the possibilities
    with it
10. It’s not working out    Let’s try one more time from a different angle!

Inspirational Teacher

May 8, 2009

I find it very heart warming whenever Sir Dom shares his experiences and gives us a few pointers on what will be our future “lucrative” careers base on whatever we have learned and the skills we acquire while still in school.

Even though I find Sir a little weird sometimes, it amazes me on how he can somehow motivate me to do more. I can see that Sir is actually trying to give us a more direct approach to see what we like and what we can improve about our technical skills.

I hope it’s not prudent for me to say that Sir Dom’s speech tends to inspire some of us. That is why he tries to bring the best in someone by helping him/her develop his/her skill even by lending his own personal techie gadgets that’s not very common and costly. He has to order it through the net and lets us use it. How very touching!

Don’t limit your capacity to what is given to you, you should seek more and don’t stop learning new things. I hope I can be like Sir who can give inspirational speeches that can move someone to actually put things into action. Nice one Sir.

I learned a lot from you Sir, not only in the technical field but also in situational circumstances. I might seek your advice in the near future. Hope your still there for us.

Challenges in Life

April 3, 2009

Challenges in Life come in 3 broad categories:
EASY, DIFFICULT, and IMPOSSIBLE.

Those who take only the EASY
have a safe and boring life.

Those who take the DIFFICULT
are tough and have a sense if fulfillment.

But those who take the IMPOSSIBLE
inspire others that it can be done.

IT4 Paradise Outing

March 24, 2009

What can I say? It’s been a while since the last time I went to the beach or just go somewhere to relax and have fun. Due to the many demands and requirements of our teachers that is why we always postpone our outing, and also to the same reason that ‘wala sila klaro mag decide, hanggang plano lang’ well, finally since it’s the end of the semester they finally decided to put into action what we could say as yet another bonding moments.

As usual some were late; it is so predictable if you have come to know the person for almost 4 years. But no one cares for as long as you make it and put it aside when you start to embark on the adventure to come.

Along the way, I think it is unprecedented that all of us are eager and exited for the upcoming event. So many people started talking from all sorts of stuff which usually end up in reminiscing the past. As ethical as it may seems, hindi talaga mawawala ang panlibak sa ibang tao. What can I say? I guess its our specialty or natakdan lang kami ng mga libakero sa amin.. hehe

As predictable as always, the pictorial started as soon as we were on the boat going to our destination. Why miss the chance to capture the lasting moments with the people you have come to experience so many things together.

Never miss an opportunity to bond with the people who have come close to your heart, you can never turn back time and it might just happen once. So I did take a few risks knowing that certain things can never be, but what the heck! I would never know if I won’t try.

What’s wrong with me?

March 6, 2009

Stop!!! What’s wrong with me?

Am I desperate? What the f***s going on here!! This is not who I am.

Why is it that there are certain things that keeps disturbing my mind? That interrupts my concentration as I do my daily tasks.

Am I SPO? Are my needs not fulfilled in this aspect of my life?

At this point in my life, I can say that I am already past the adolescent stage. I am more mature that what is normally seen by many, for I know myself better than anyone.

But why is it that my hormones are getting agitated? Whenever my mind wonders it creates these illusionary images that disrupt my attention. Is this why men are sexual by nature because they need to feed their urges? Thus these constitute man as a perverted moral animal?

We are talking about my own integrity and dignity here.

I really need to get a hold of my self, I will not put to waste all the things I work so hard for to achieve be ruined by my own self disrespect.

I am not complacent with the current situation and condition of my earthly life. This is the reason for the daily struggles I undergo just to keep myself at the level of acceptance that this is reality.

etelecare pictorials

February 18, 2009

I’m so attached to the IT4 that I can’t seem to separate myself from their little excursions, even just bonding with them.  Today, they went off for an interview in a call center company to apply for a job; I just tag along with them. We were amaze at the office of e-telecare, it was like a PBB house or a studio, as usual while waiting we have some out-of-the-blue pictorial; we won’t miss out the opportunity to take some pictures with such nice lighting environment.

Another bonding moments in the record..uu

Fiesta kina Jaque

February 11, 2009

As always, whenever may fiesta kina Jaque marami pagkain dun, kahit hindi fiesta parang fiesta maghanda sila Jaque. Bahay niyo ba naman dagsain ng mga kapitbahay, friends, and relatives. Siksikan gud dun sa kanila pero enjoy parin,  bonga jud basta Doña (hehe)

As usual this event won’t be complete without some dashing pictorials from the gang especially if you have a DCLR camera. It’s been years already since I’ve know them, the IT4; it’s nice to have this few moments to bond with them again especially now that most of them will take separate paths.

After the gastronomic feast, I join them in their interview with a coop and we went to the Mall afterwards. There was a pre-valentine exhibit in the Mall and we have another monumental pictorial in the Atrium. What a fun day!!

Year of the Ox

January 27, 2009

The second animal who arrived was the serious, enduring and hard-working Ox.

The Ox is the sign of prosperity through fortitude and hard work. As one might guess, such people are dependable, calm and modest. Like his animal namesake, the Ox is unswervingly patient, tireless in his work, and capable of enduring any amount of hardship without complaint.

The ox person needs peace and quiet to work through his/her ideas, and when he/she has set his/her mind on something it is hard for him/her to be convinced otherwise. The ox person has a very logical mind and is extremely systematic in whatever he/she does, in spite of a total lack of imagination. He/she can be very stubborn, and difficult to dissuade once he/she decides on something. These people speak little, but are intelligent, and when necessary, they are both articulate and eloquent.

Ox people are observant; they have remarkable memories and are good at reporting on absolutely everything they observe. Ox people are mentally and physically alert. Generally easy-going, they can be remarkably stubborn, and they hate to fail or be opposed.

Positive: The Ox can be patient, contemplative, skilful, dexterous, eloquent, confident, familiar, authoritative, industrious and sure of foot.

Negative: The Ox can also be prejudice, chauvinistic, proud, tyrannical, petty, critical, eccentric, bigoted, conservative, grumpy and on occasion violent.

THE OX LOVER

Oxen dislike chit-chat. They don’t have fun at parties and as aforementioned, don’t have a ton of friends. They are not very sociable and would rather be spending their time at home with their families. When the Ox is in love, he does not confirm his feelings verbally, preferring to show you how he feels rather than tell you. An Ox will take a long time to decide if you are the right match for him because Oxen hate change, and want to find someone who is ready to embark upon a stable marriage. Oxen never rush into anything and are not flirtatious people. Once they have committed to you they will usually be faithful and expect reciprocation of their honorable actions.

SCORPIO OX

Determination and strong will characterize the Scorpio Ox. These Oxen will strive and do whatever they must in order to reach their goal. They are intense lovers, but you’ll never be able to read their emotions because they keep them tucked away.

waiting. . .

January 12, 2009

i have proven to myself that waiting is next to nothing..

walang mangyayri kung mag wait ka na lang palagi at walang gagawin..

its better that you did something rather than nothing at all..

there would be regrets and “what if’s?…”

walang mawawala sa inyo kung susubukan mo..

why wait? if you can do something about it..

all it takes is for you to take action, accompanied by risks..

My Eon Card

January 8, 2009

Atlast, it has been more than a year since I wanted to get an eon card for my paypal. But now I finally have my very own eon card from Unionbank. I applied during the Christmas break so that I would get it at the start of the year, something new to add to my personal belongings.

I was so thrilled when I saw my debit card, I can’t believe that I’m finally getting to have one, since my other classmates already had there’s a long time ago. It did not take them a year to get one. Atleast I got to be patient and finally procured one of my own.

New Year’s Resolution for 2009

January 5, 2009
As the year 2009 starts, let us all come to mind all the things that we wanted to do and want to achieve this year. Let us begin this year by contemplating and come up with a new year’s resolution that would serve as a guide for us to embark on a more purposeful and exciting year. Let us make 2009 a year for a more dramatic and meaningful instance of our lives.

For me I would like to carry out the following this year:
        take risks and opportunities
        exert more effort
improve skills at hand and beyond
increase knowledge and awareness (e.g. magazines, news, books and etc.)
        enhance speech and vocabulary
        socialize (go out more…)
improve self (in and out) [pump up/buffed up]
        be more confident
improve typing skills and multimedia (image, video and audio editing)
        save money for future use
update calendar (plan the year right by jotting events and plans)
do something you’ve wanted to do [be creative]
clean up (let go of the old and in with the new)
support a good cause (share your blessings)

I guess that’s it for now, I did accomplish my resolution last year. I just have to prioritize the things that matters most at the present time for future complacency. Let us show more zest for this year of untold opportunities. I really hope that this is my year and also yours. Let go of the old and let the new come to find its way into your life.
Have a superb and fruitful year.

New Year: buy something new

January 4, 2009

This might seem a bit too extravagant; buy something new to mark the year. It can be anything; a book or magazine, a pair of shoes, a shirt, jewelries, gadgets, anything! A new year is something to celebrate and you can mark the start of the year by something you bought. Think of the start of the year as another birthday. This year is another chance to start over. This item can be a reward, a pat on the back for your hard work, or it can be a resolution to improve an aspect of your life.

Whatever the thing is, it should have meaning for you, something that, when you look at some ten years later, will remind you of a great year that held much promise.
